Home Defense Phase II

8-Hour Class: This course covers types of entries into various types of rooms, door locations, obstacle considerations, firearms mechanical sight standoff, clearing and stairwells. These skills allow the student to determine the proper flow into multiple rooms, corridors and could be used to create a rescue route to get to family members. Training will involve engaging instructors with marking cartridges and live fire on 3 dimensional life size targets. This course also demonstrates low light techniques for searching and distraction as well as a demonstration of distraction devises (flash bangs).

Requirements

You must be 18 years of age
SGC Staff Approval
Must pass SGC qualification skill test

Required Equipment

• Firearm: Marking cartridge converted handgun (provided.) Or you may bring your Glock 19 or Beretta 92 (9mm only) and use SGC conversions
• A quality strong side holster (the holster must be rigid and stable allowing the firearm to be holstered with one hand) No cross draw, shoulder holsters, purses/fanny packs.
• 1 extra magazine and mag pouch
• Ammunition: 50 rounds of Man Marking cartridges (provided)
• Hearing & Eye Protection
• Gloves (that you can shoot with)
