Sexual Assault and Prevention Seminar (S.A.P.S.)

The Sexual Assault Prevention Seminar (SAPS) is just for women. It is an interactive classroom experience designed to reduce your probability of becoming the victim of a sexual predator. SAPS focuses on prevention thru preparation, environmental manipulation and assault cue recognition. SAPS will prepare you to act, show you what to look for to avoid problem situations, improve your confidence and introduce you to predator methodology and psychology. We will discuss the pros and cons of various weapons and weapons systems and introduce you to the physical skills of sexual assault countermeasures. SAPS is designed to prepare women to defend against sexual assaults, harassing behavior and dangerous situations. Includes studies in proper mindset, victim psychology, safety positioning, hardening the home, office, vehicle and hotel room and hands on attack countermeasures.

You will also be introduced to physical skills and techniques to protect yourself from sexual predators. The easy to learn, easy to retain techniques incorporate the principles of stunning, motor point strikes, balance displacement and distraction techniques. With these skills, the participant is provided a foundation of skills with which to create her own personal repertoire of sexual assault countermeasures.

This is a 6 hour class; 3 hours of class room education and 3 hours of hands on physical counter measures.
